Pieced Together

“Pieced Together” is an exploration of the frustrating, often unreliable nature of memory. The stubborn fuzziness, which feels like both a sanctuary and a source of unease, adds a distinct weight to the "now."

I find myself questioning, “What makes a memory sharp?” I wonder which bits of the world I am creating around my children will stick, or if their memories, too, will dissolve into a similarly warm, beautiful fog.

Through dreamlike distortions of coastal subjects and familiar patterns, these pieces illustrate relatable experiences with memory and the urgent pressure to anchor the present before it slips away.
